Our Story
After co-building Cumberland Cleaning Co. for five years, Hannah Rennie founded Sonne Cleaning Co. with a vision of creating more than beautifully cleaned homes. Built on the belief that our surroundings shape our well-being, Sonne was created to help people create space for what matters most through exceptional cleaning, thoughtful service, and intentional living.
Today, that vision has grown into a dedicated team of professionally trained cleaning specialists, supported by experienced leadership and thoughtfully designed systems that deliver the same high standards, consistency, and care to every home we enter. From your first inquiry to your completed clean, our team works together to deliver a seamless experience built on communication, reliability, and attention to detail.
Sonne is a nod to Hannah’s German heritage. Her mother, Andrea, immigrated to Canada from Germany in the 1980s, and many of the values that shaped Hannah’s upbringing—thoughtfulness, craftsmanship, and slowing down to appreciate everyday life—continue to inspire the heart of the company today.
